Cookies and browser storage

This site sets no cookies. Not one, not for analytics, not for advertising, not for anything. Visits, and what gets tapped, are counted by our own backend without storing anything in your browser. There is nothing to consent to, which is why you are not being shown a banner. Instead of a banner, here is the complete and honest list of what the site keeps in your browser, and what the counter counts.
Why there is no consent banner
A consent banner exists to get permission before storing or reading something on your device for a purpose that is not strictly necessary, and before processing personal data without a lawful basis. This site does neither.
- No cookies are set. The code that runs on your device never reads or writes one.
- No advertising technology runs, and we put nothing on the page that follows you from this site to other sites.
- The counting stores nothing on your device. Our backend counts page visits, and a fixed list of things you do on a page, under a code that changes every day and is not linked to you or to your other days. Nothing is stored in your browser for any of it, and a browser that sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control is not counted at all. Every event, and what is kept of it, is listed in the privacy policy.
- The only things stored are settings and drafts you caused, they stay on your device, and they are never transmitted to us.
The Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, which is India's data protection law, requires notice and consent for processing personal data. It has no separate cookie rule of the European kind, and in any case we are not processing personal data in your browser storage. The visit counter stores nothing on your device and reads only what every page can see, such as whether your browser asks not to be tracked; on our own server it uses the IP address your browser already sends with every request for a moment, and does not keep it. We do not believe the European ePrivacy rules or the UK PECR reach this site, because it is aimed at people in India, does not target anyone in those places, and builds no profile of anyone. So: notice, which is this page, and no banner. Adding a banner that asked permission for things we do not do would be theatre, and a misleading one at that.
Everything this site stores on your device
All of it is browser local storage, all of it is named with a
bdc. prefix, and none of it ever leaves your device on its own. The
prefix is short for this site's name, and it stays as it is even when wording on
the site changes, because renaming a key would wipe whatever you had saved under
the old one.

The counter
It is not a cookie and not browser storage, so it is not in the table above. Nothing it does is written to your device.
When a page opens, the page sends our backend the page's address, the name of the site that linked to it, and the campaign tag if you arrived through a link that carried one. The backend adds the country the connection comes from, whether it is a phone, tablet or computer, and the hour of the day. While you are reading, the page counts a fixed list of things you do: opening the map or a company, opening its jobs, following an apply link, what you searched for, which filter you pressed, running the commute search, a salary row, a watch signup, an order, an export or a share, how far down the page you reached, and how long you stayed in one of four broad bands. All of it is counted under a code that changes every day and is deleted with that day.
What is never involved: no cookie, nothing stored on your device, no IP address or browser string kept, nothing personal inside any of those values, no profile, no sale, no advertising. To switch the whole thing off, turn on Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control in your browser: the page then sends nothing and the backend refuses anything that does arrive. The full detail, event by event, is in the privacy policy.
How to clear it
All of it disappears if you clear site data for this site in your browser settings, or browse in a private window. Nothing breaks: the map simply opens in its default state and asks you to retype anything you had saved. You can also just never fill in a form, and then almost none of it is ever written.
Other companies your browser talks to
Loading a map means fetching map tiles, and looking at live jobs means asking the companies' own hiring systems for them. Those requests reveal your IP address to those hosts, as any web request does. They are listed by name, with what each one sees, in the privacy policy. Our own backend on Cloudflare also counts the visit and serves the live job list. None of them set a cookie through this site, and we have deliberately removed the ones we did not need: this site no longer loads fonts from Google, and no longer fetches company logos from anyone.

Mask Management is not registered under GST. Turnover is below the threshold in section 22 of the Central Goods and Services Tax Act 2017, so no tax is charged on anything sold here, no tax is collected, and no tax invoice is issued. You get a plain numbered invoice. If you need a PAN for tax deducted at source, ask and we send it.

Write to that address about anything on this site: a wrong listing, a refund, an advertisement, your own data, or a complaint about how we handled something. Every complaint is acknowledged within forty eight hours and resolved within one month. If a complaint needs longer we say so, in writing, before the month is up, and tell you why.
This satisfies rule 5(9) of the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules 2011 and rules 4(3), 4(5) and 4(6) of the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules 2020.
